Easy Watermelon Lemonade Recipe šš 3-Ingredient Summer Cooler
Easy Watermelon Lemonade
A 3-ingredient summer cooler, ready in minutes
The ultimate hot-day refresher ā sweet, juicy watermelon blended with fresh lemon juice and a touch of sweetener, served over ice with mint. No fancy equipment, just 3 core ingredients and a couple of minutes for a naturally pink, thirst-quenching lemonade the whole family loves.
Ingredients
Main
- 3 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
- 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice (about 1 large lemon)
- 2-3 tbsp sugar, honey or maple syrup, to taste
- ½ cup cold water (optional, to thin)
- Ice cubes, to serve
- Fresh mint leaves and lemon slices, to garnish
Instructions
- Blend the watermelon. Add the cubed watermelon to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Strain (optional). For a clear drink, strain the juice through a fine sieve to remove pulp. Skip for a thicker, juicier lemonade.
- Add lemon & sweetener. Stir in the fresh lemon juice and sweetener. Taste and adjust ā add a splash of cold water if it's too strong.
- Serve over ice. Fill glasses with ice, pour over the watermelon lemonade, and garnish with fresh mint and a lemon slice. Serve immediately.
Pro tip: Freeze extra watermelon cubes and use them in place of ice ā they chill the drink without watering it down. A tiny pinch of salt makes the watermelon flavour pop.
