Ingredients:
1/4 cup peanuts
1/4 cup chana daal
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
A few curry leaves
2 garlic cloves
1 piece of ginger
A small piece of tamarind
4 green chillies
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons of oil
For the Chutney:
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan [00:20].
Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, ginger, garlic, green chillies, chana daal, and peanuts [00:22].
Roast everything together until they turn light brown [00:42].
Add 1/2 cup of water and a small piece of tamarind to the pan [00:49].
Let the mixture cool down [00:55].
Transfer the mixture to a blender, add 1/4 cup of water and 1 teaspoon of salt, and blend until it forms a smooth paste [00:59].
Pour the blended chutney into a bowl [01:12].
For the Tadka (Tempering):
In a small ladle, add 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil [01:20].
Add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds, 2 red chillies, and a few curry leaves [01:21].
Add this tempering mixture to the prepared chutney and mix well [01:29].
