Palak Paneer Recipe
Ingredients:
1 packet fresh spinach (palak) [00:01]
1/2 packet paneer (200 gm) [00:02]
1 onion [00:02]
2 cloves garlic [00:03]
1 small piece of ginger [00:03]
3 green chillies [00:03]
1/4 cup oil [00:32]
1 teaspoon cumin seeds [00:33]
1 red chilli [00:34]
1 teaspoon garam masala [00:45]
1 teaspoon salt [00:46]
1 teaspoon homemade fresh ghee (clarified butter) [00:51]
Instructions:
Prepare the Spinach: Wash and boil the spinach for 15 minutes [00:08]. Once boiled, make a paste from the spinach [00:27].
Cut Paneer: Cut the paneer into small cubes [00:11].
Chop Aromatics: Cut the onion, garlic, ginger, and green chillies into small pieces [00:16].
Sauté Aromatics: In a hot pan, add 1/4 cup oil [00:32]. Then add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds and 1 red chilli [00:33]. After 5 minutes, add the cut onion, ginger, garlic, and green chillies [00:35]. Cook until the onion turns brown [00:38].
Combine and Cook: Add the spinach paste and paneer cubes to the pan [00:41]. Mix it together [00:44].
Season: Add 1 teaspoon garam masala and 1 teaspoon salt [00:45]. Mix well [00:47].
Simmer: Cover the pan and let it cook for 5 minutes [00:49].
Prepare Ghee Topping: In a separate small pan, take 1 teaspoon of homemade fresh ghee (clarified butter) [00:51]. Add 1 teaspoon garam masala to it [00:52].
Final Touch: When the palak paneer is boiling, add the ghee mixture to it [00:53]. Mix it in [00:57].
